Learn baking and pastry techniques from professional baker, Pat Hains. Using a wood fired oven, you will create your own journey. Pat Hains has studied bread baking in France, Italy and Germany. Her focus has been on European breads and the use of pre-ferments and sourdoughs. She received the highest honor in her formal training in 2011 in German Bread Baking at the Akademie des deutschen Bäckerhandwerk Weinheim.
Six years before coming to France, Pat taught bread, pastry and pizza classes using her wood fired oven. She hosted international guest baking chefs at the Hains House in Olympia WA. She has hosted more than 700 guests at her Bed & Breakfast, as well as hosting numerous weddings and events at the Hains House Barn. Pat has a passion for hospitality, baking and travel. She has continued her baking passion in St. Cirq Lapopie and has a custom made wood fired oven in her backyard.
